Have you seen that video up there? That’s the speed of Vivo’s all-new OriginOS 6 in action. And this time, it’s not just a teaser for China. Vivo is finally bringing OriginOS to global market, including India.  The company is officially ditching Funtouch OS and replacing it with OriginOS 6 this October.

When’s It Coming?

The new interface will first launch in China on October 10, and just a few days later, on October 15, the global rollout begins — India included. So, if you’ve got a Vivo or iQOO phone, it’s time to get a little excited.

Who Will Get It First?

Vivo has already opened a Preview Program for select users.

If you’ve got a Vivo X200 Pro or an iQOO 13, you can sign up and try it early before the launch.

For everyone else, the rollout goes like this:

  • October 10: China launch
  • October 15: Global + India rollout

The upcoming Vivo X300 series and iQOO 15 lineup will come preloaded with OriginOS 6 right out of the box.

What’s New In OriginOS 6?

Forget everything you remember about the old Funtouch OS.

The new OriginOS 6 will bring a clean, minimal, and modern design — neater icons, interactive widgets, and fluid transitions. Even basic tasks like scrolling or opening apps will feel buttery smooth.

Built on Android 16, Vivo says OriginOS 6 isn’t just a software update — it’s a complete redesign. Expect smoother animations, smarter battery use, AI-based personalization, and that clean, premium touch Vivo phones are known for.

They even gave it a fancy name — “Comfort Engineering.” Sounds fancy, right? But in simple words, it means the interface now feels natural, fluid, and effortless.

When Will You Get It?

If you’re using a Vivo or iQOO flagship, you’ll likely get it by the end of 2025. Mid-range phones might need to wait till early 2026. Once it’s ready, you’ll get a simple OTA (over-the-air) update — nothing fancy to do, just update and enjoy.

So, if you’re a Vivo or iQOO user, mark your calendar for October 15. That’s when the big change begins — and maybe, just maybe, your phone will finally feel as smooth as that video you just watched.
